Do interval training in running, it burns calories like crazy. If you're a beginner at running try something along these lines: Warm up (walk 5 minutes) Run 4 minutes (walk 1) Run 5 minutes (walk 1.5) Run 6 minutes (walk 2) Run 5 minutes (walk 1.5) Run 4 minutes (walk 1) Cool down (walk 5-10) As you become capable of running these easily interchange the numbers with ones more suitable for you; also, if you cannot do these to start with don't hesitate to start small. Also, this is to build your RUNNING not walking. Never increase the walking time (1,1.5, 2) only increase the running (4,5,6). I started with this plan and lost nearly 9 pounds within 3.5 weeks. Do it everyday and don't restrain. The longer you hold it off and make excuses the longer you're going to have your belly fat. As for diet: eat 5-6 healthy meals per day. Eating less more often keeps metabolism up, insulin levels balanced, and increased energy. |
