Solar & wind powered clothes dryer !!

Question: Solar & wind powered clothes dryer !!

(Posted by: Gordon S on 2008-08-02 18:23:23)

I am wondering how many people in the Western World would be interested in never again having to use "plug in " powered clothes dryers?? How many will be interested in simple plans to easily manufacture a "Solar " or "Wind Power " clothes dryer?? No more high power bills/ accounts. I have been researching this phenomenon for years and have struck Gold. Gordon.

I assume you are referring to a clothes line.

Yes, I use a solar and wind powered clothes drier. Its called a washing line and I hang my clothes on it in the garden!

I confused my sister when I told her I had a solar clothes dryer, she came over to look at my clothes line and asked how it worked. I couldn't believe she didn't get the joke.

This would be a great thing to have. Much more convenient than hanging everything up to dry. Tell us more!

Its effective method, especially if you have a clear sky so the UV from sun light can sterilize the clothes. Also we can improve the drying by hanging up the clothes up on the roof or a higher location where the wind can blow it easily.

Back in the day before mechanical dryers, families would dry their cloths on a cloths line. The cloths line would be a rope placed between two poles. The rope and poles would be in a yard outside the home. The cloths line would utilize both solar and wind. Amazing how history teaches.
