Your questions are a little confusing. In domestic systems the savings you can achieve are designed into the size of the system and not the type of system. You would not say "how much energy can I get from batteries " because you know it depends upon how many batteries. Similarly you can't ask how fast is a vehicle without knowing how it is powered and under what conditions. So break your question down a bit and ask it in more pieces. You may have to supply more information.
