Putting together a metal shed, any tips?
my gal pal and I are going to try and put together her new metal shed, we are both tool wise and are hardware literate but the men we know keep telling us how hard it is to put together a metal shed and say it takes hours to do and they wouldn't tackle it if they were us. A few of them have offered to put it up for her but have not shown up, we think they are scared . Should we be? We think we can do it, we just wanted some tips from someone who has put one up before.

hi,I have purchased a metal shed today and I am going to use a wooden floor. I was looking for gravel boards but I saw loft roof boards in B& Q tonight, would these boards be adequate? as they are a lot cheaper than gravel boards.Any help is appreciated.
Ideas for building a platform for a metal shed?
I obtained an 8'x10' metal shed in good condition for free just cost me 5 hours to disassemble and a lot of elbow grease . The original owner assembled it on untreated plywood placed on bare earth, which worked about as well as you can imagine. I would like to build a proper foundation. The location is on a gentle slope, so water will be shedding toward it from the backyard woods. Because of this, I am thinking it should be elevated 3" to 6" . That would also allow air flow to help dry out the bottom after a rain, I think. I've read a few articles, but would like some community advice on design. Brick or Cinder block piers? Spacing? Plywood or 2x4s? Horizontal or 45 slant? Shed will contain push lawnmower and other common outdoorsy tools no especially high loads. Thanks for any insight offered.

Our original idea was to put the shed on wood palates but the shed builders said it wouldn't work. We didn't know what to do so we had the shed built on the ground. I am beginning to think this cheap metal shed was a bad idea, but its too late now. The floor is treated wood but I am concerned about the rain. Using a welder in my little metal shed? Is it safe?
I have recently purchased a cheap arc welder and am doing courses in welding as a beginner. I have also purchased a 1.8m x 1.8m welding screen curtain on wheels. The only problem is I don't have a garage where I'm living atm and have to use a little metal shed which has very thin, flimsy walls. I have halved the shed and divided it by the welding curtain, which protects all of the flammable products on the other side.My only problem now is Is it safe to use the welder on my welding table when it is surrounded by the metal of the shed?The floor is concrete which is fine but the actual shed I am worried about.If I am welding outdoors on gravel do you suggest I wrap the welding screen curtains partially around the table or all the way around it?
