Hi, im based in Middlesbrough Uk. Have bought a house in august with a garden shed and have just noticed the shed is leaking on the 2 outer edges of the roof. What is the best thing to do to sort it out? I can do light diy eg painting, fixing shelves and jobs around the house but not sure if this would be too big a job to attempt.Can anyone recommend a good value company to get in?ThanksThere is water leaking down from the wooden panels on the roof. I cant see exactly where the leak is coming from as it is raining and dark. My wife, who grew up a farmer's daughter in the Philippines tells me they used to use canvas fabric and black tar. One of the locals here in Kansas thinks there is some sort of fiberglass product that I could use. I grew up in the city but we now have a place in the country with two huge sheds, one of which has a corrugated tin roof with a few small leaks. None of the leaks are very bad, but they are starting to cause damage to the wood frame that supports the roof. I want to get working on a repair soon. There is a mezzanine level that the former owner built that I want to tear down to make room to park a car, but it does make accessing the bottom of roof easier to complete repairs.Shed may not be the best description of what I have. Barn may be a better description for the size of it. I appreciate all advise, but I think going to plywood and shingles on this thing would be pretty expensive, it is nearly the size of my house.Yeah I pretty much figured I would have to fix it from up top. Unfortunately there is also a board underneath that has enough water damage that I will have to fix it from underneath.The shed is in pretty good condition, and insured. The only wood damage is to one board that is directly under the leak. I haven't worked with this kind of roof before, but am a avid do it yourselfer and work as a mechanical designer, so I'm not completely hopeless, though I appreciate your concern.
Shared shed roof repairs - they won't pay?
We share a brick built shed with our neighbours. Their half leaks and the water runs under the felt to our side and comes through. I can only assume it runs through their roof too.We want to get it repaired to make the shed dry. They so far haven't shown any inclination to do the repairs despite us asking them a couple of times and putting the request in writing to them.Is there a way of forcing them to do the repairs? Can I take them to court? Is there a way of stopping the water ingress coming through to my side of the shed? I'm about to start getting quotes for the work being done myself as I am keen to get use of the shed I own.
Aluminum shed roof collapsed... help!?
My father in law & I built an aluminum shed last summer. Today, due to heavy snow and my stupidity at not getting the snow off, the entire roof collapsed and the walls buckled. I cannot open the sliding doors.Is this reparable?It's a 10'x14' shed. Big enough for my lawnmower, storage, etc.It's an aluminum shed.Respectfully, I'm not interested in what I should have done. I want to know if it's fixable.

Insulating my shed roof?
hi me and my friends made a lounge out of my old tin roof shed we have a tv speakers and a few other electrical goods... since winters on its way we were wondering whats the best and cheapest way to insulate the place note that its a tin rof but has wood under it where the old indulation used to be the place is pretty chilly and sometime damp plz help we dont wanna be freezing our asses off in there thanks

This was our first time roofing and after we laid down the shingles the were sort of curling up and are bumpy. What might this be? How can we fix this.No we cleared the old shingles off and used glass master shingles. Which i beilieve are fiber glass ashfalt shingles.oh and no chemicals

Question about building a sheds roof ultra light.?
Hi, we have an old shed 8 X 6 that we recently bought from a guy on Craigslist. It is the most basic thing 4 walls of plywood on frame made of 2x4's. The frame is a large industrial pallet. The current roof is some galvanized corrugated metal sheets on a flat frame made of 2x4's. Well, we have been having fun revamping this structure, got awesome doors on the front and a great window on the back, we are thinking of adding some sort of siding that is cheap to cover the walls. And we are also planning on changing the roof We will make an A frame common type of roof. Here is where my wife and I differ though I had initially thought we should make the frame for the roof with 1x4's so that it will be really light, she thought that was a good idea, But tonight I had an even better idea, why not make the roof with 1x2's to which she is vehemently opposed saying it will be too weak and will not do. I actually think it could be strong enough. I think if the whole roof is as light as possible, yet still strong, then there's no problem. What thoughts do you have, or do you have any experience with roofs for small structures . And also what cover could I use for the roof, also something light are there any light roof tiles Thanks.
