Hello,Over winter we found rats had chewed their way into the shed to get at the chicken food and now we have got rid of the rats we are left with two holes in the wooden shed floor about 2 inches in diameter.Underneath the floor there is a gap of about 3 inches deep before the ground.I'm trying to figure out what would be the best and least expensive way to patch up the floor without causing an obstruction that we could trip over?Thanks

ElectrIcal HELP - Do I need a subpanel for detatched shed?
I am looking to go from the subpanel currently in my detached garage to a detached shed Garage is closer . I have a free 20amp circuit and I was going to run 10 2 UF from the garage to the shed. Can I just bring it into the shed and start wiring outlets and such, or do I need anything first. The sheds only going to be a few lights and minor appliances, nothing major by any means. I guess what I am asking is can I do it like a branch circuit with maybe 6 8 receptacles, or do i have to put in a second subpanel in the shed? Also, as far as grounding do i need to do any more wiring for the shed? Thanks

i wanna build a breeze block shed to house my pool table and the sizes i need is 24ft by 10ft i will get three lights to go in there but do i need planning permission to do this?everything will be breeze blocked and one door plus to windows for light with three florecent lights over head area london
Could I start of some of my seeds in my shed?
I don't have a greenhouse and the shed has no heating but the roof is made of alternate corrugated metal sheets and corrugated plastic sheets so quite a lot of light gets in, plus there is a window, the upper part opens for ventilation. I'm new, at this house, and have always had a greenhouse before but as this shed has has 2 long work benches in it I thought that it might be ideal for starting off my plants. It will get sun through the roof in the mornings only. Unfortunately the roof leaks a little in a few places but I hope to get that fixed soon.If O.K. to use it for this purpose, which of the following would you start in trays or small fibre pots to plant out later in the United Kingdom?Peas, beans, carrots, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes and potatoes. I intend to put the tomatoes in tubs outdoors later or possibly grobags and might do the same with the potatoes. I grew potatoes in a 2 gallon bucket one year and they did quite well.
What are the best materials to build an 8x8 insulated shed inside a garage? '?
I was thinking maybe just hardwood sheets onto 2" x2" framing with foil insulation.I have a very large double garage and the shed is to be used to house boa constrictor enclosures and so needs to hold the heat of an oil filled rad.I was hinking of just covering everything in foil insulation as is fairly cheap and easy to install.Hope this helps.
Whats the cheapest way to build a floor in a instant shed?
i need to put a floor in my instant shed. the will be a pool table on it slate . what is the cheapest and best way to go about building this floor? how much do you guesstimate it to cost?Shed will be 12' x 16'I need the floor to last about 2 years. humidity is not a concern anymore, thanks for your inout on that question as well i think i can control the humidity and i dont think that it will be a big issue anyway. maybe but im putting it out there anyways because its my only option or abandon the project and thats not happening.
What kind of wire should I use to run from my house 20amp breaker to my shed for lighting and such?
I have a detached garage I did the wiring for, and I have done a fair amount inside my house as well and am comfortable enough. Now I have a shed thats about 100 feet from the house we want to install several lights and be able to use it as a small studio for my wife to work in with maybe small hand tools like a Dremel or hot glue gun, and be able to run a small window a c unit and or space heater in the winter. I have a free 10amp breaker and was thinking I could get direct burial cable and bury 18" underground. Can someone maybe give me some specifics for what cable to get at Lowes HD, and any additional tips? I was thinking I run it into a junction box in the shed from the floor and then use indoor 12 gauge for inside?

Cost of running electricity to shed?
Can anyone give me an idea of how much it would cost to run electricity to my shed, I want to convert it into another room so would be boarded and insulated, its about 12 m from the house I would like two double sockets and a light in there. What can I use to repel mice in storage shed?
I found evidence of mouse visitation in my Christmas tree box this year. I don't want to poison them or use traps, cause I don't get in there often enough to use humane traps, and I won't use inhumane ones. Is there something I can put in there that will deter them? I can't use electronic devices, as there is no electricity there. You merely made yourself look bad BooBoo, it's a rented storage room. I don't think they would appeciate me going crazy with the expanding foam in there. The door is tight, and I don't really know how they are getting in there. Thanks, though.
