Is this sufficient for my storage shed (pics below)?

Question: Is this sufficient for my storage shed (pics below)?

(Posted by: on 2009-10-23 17:46:45)

My storage shed was not very even, but I don't want to get a foundation kit for it. It only the kids bikes and a stroller and such in it. It is 4 1/ 2 feet tall and 5x6 in length and width. If I step in it to get something from the back, than I will be putting more weight on the inside. It is not tall enough to walk around in. Is this OK, or should I get a foundation kit? http:/ / i35.tinypic.com/ i2o9xj.jpg http:/ / i35.tinypic.com/ vzixjm.jpg http:/ / i35.tinypic.com/ vzixjm.jpg http:/ / i38.tinypic.com/ 2a7sr9f.jpg http:/ / i36.tinypic.com/ 2z3sbph.jpg it has plastic flooring. The whole thing is Rubbermaid materials I need some wood under it to make it even, or the doors won't stay in place as it all 'clicks' in place.

What you have there will work for a while. The wood willl rot and fall apart. I would get some sidewalk blocks and level them out on the ground. You can dig some dirt from the higher area and add it to the lower area. Then add the blocks and make sure they are level. Should take 6 or 9 blocks. Good luck!! A bit of elbow grease and you'll get it done!

That looks like crushed rock underneath, If it is, just put a sheet of 6 mill plastic under it and let it sit directly on the gravel. It must have a plastic floor, if so it is meant to be on the ground. If it doesn't have a floor, lay out door plywood on the plastic. If water stands on the gravel, you will need to raise it up on more gravel. The plastic is to make a vapor barrior so things won't sweat inside and rust. Open the doors on nice days to let it air out.

Get rid of the wood and get some more crushed gravel and level it up only with gravel then it will be perfect.
